Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls (Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls) that straddle the international border between Canada and the United States. Located on the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, the combined falls form the highest flow rate of any waterfall in North America that has a vertical drop of more than 50 m. Niagara Falls is famed both for its beauty and as a valuable source of hydroelectric power.

Travel Tips:

Prepared to see lots of tourists as well as locals. The view is really good and great parks all around.
Take the ferry to see the waterfall it is the best part. Why? Because you will be between USA and Canada and not miss the view of the fall. Make sure you cover your camera/phone even though they will provide you with some plastic raincoat.
Take a walk around the park and visit all 3 falls (You must be in the USA for that).
